Project 1797 started with a simple idea: what if we could create a better way for people to connect online? We're not sure exactly what shape it will take, but we know it starts with bringing passionate people together. This is an invitation to help shape what comes next - your input, ideas, and engagement will define what Project 1797 becomes.
Spaces where genuine conversation happens, free from spam, scams, and endless product pitches.
Focus on creating meaningful interactions where people can be themselves and find others who give a damn.
Find your people in chat rooms focused on your interests.
Build reputation through meaningful contributions and engagement.
Jump into conversations instantly, no scheduling required.
This idea started because I was sitting at home on a Friday night. My daughter was at her mom's—she's usually here, but it's her weekend there—so it was quiet. One of my good friends was on vacation, so I couldn't bother him. Another friend? It was his wife's birthday, so they were doing their own thing. And there I was, looking for something to do.
I jumped online because I wanted to engage with people—talk business, talk projects, or just join a conversation. I've got a lot of businesses in different capacities, and I absolutely love what I do. I love creating, building, and talking to people who are doing the same. I was looking for that energy. conversations.
Today, we've got all these platforms, but none of them are real-time. Everything's about posts. You make a post, someone comments, and you reply. That's fine, but it's not the same as having a real conversation.
After a while, I said, "Fuck it, I'll build the damn thing myself."
Just to be clear, I'm not looking for investors. My company, FOCUS Digital Marketing, self-funds everything we do. We've got the servers, the talent, and the resources to launch this. This isn't an investor pitch, it's about seeing if this idea resonates with people.
If this speaks to you, let me know. There are two options: you can sign up just to stay informed, or you can get actively involved. If there's enough interest, I'll create a Discord where we can brainstorm and collaborate. I'll let you decide what happens next.
If this sits stagnant for a couple of weeks, then I'll know it was a bad idea, and I'll move on to the next thing. No harm, no foul. But if there's interest, then great, it'll be one of the projects we kick off in January. And for the record? I don't think it'll take my team more than three or four weeks to build this thing. We're not talking about some big 2026 launch. If people want it, we'll have it up and running in no time.
